claireliverseed 3rd April 2020

Dear Claire, I was speaking to your Mum today and she told me about your tribute. That is such a wonderful way to celebrate your much loved Dad’s life. Chas and I were saddened to get the news, your Mum bravely telephoned us and you can imagine how shocked we were. We met your parents in Majorca in 1987, they were there with Richard and Jonathan. You had stayed at home being that much older. We had the pleasure of meeting you at your wedding with Andrew and then again at the Boys weddings. Through the years I have enjoyed hearing news of the family on your Mum and my regular telephone conversations. I also had the pleasure of chatting to your Dad when your Mum was out on one of her many interests and voluntary pursuits. Although over the years we had only seen your parents on a few occasions we visited Woodlands Rd in 1997. We loved Barnard Castle and that part of Britain. I know I have some photos from Majorca and I hope to find them in time. Needless to say we would have been with you on Tuesday had circumstances been different. We will light a candle and sit quietly thinking of you and your Mum and remembering your Dad during the funeral. With love and our deepest sympathy Annette and Chas Friends
